Does it feel impossible to: have no backlog for your engineers, agree with all stakeholders on how to use data, see 20 different engineering teams agree on an architecture, not get arm barred by that 23 year old again in class, have no dishes in the sink, no laundry pile, drop off the kids on time to school or camp, keep kids at home when their sick, be there emotionally for your kids when they cry, volunteer in their classroom so their teachers like you, meditate daily so you don’t yell, nourish a healthy marriage, keep up with your friends and their birthdays, understand where you stand spiritually, not drink alcohol, not eat sugar, stay away from dairy, reduce gluten, be a vegetarian, cook meat for your family, embrace who you are, uncover your trauma and not pass it on, and smile at the neighbors? That’s because it IS impossible, and that’s ok. We set such high standards for ourselves (and probably subconsciously due to society)….high standards can be good….but remember to high five yourself in the mirror every day and give yourself a break. Look how far you have come! Get excited for how far you will go! Right now is all we have! Remember to have some fun.
